Welcome to My Website!

Photography has been my life-long passion and underwater photography my deepest passion. Underwater photography is my favorite kind of photography. From the Caribbean to the Galapagos to the dozens of small islands scattered throughout the eastern end of Indonesia, I have had the opportunity to photograph some of the the most interesting underwater life.

Here is some of my best photographic work, from underwater and even some on land. I also have links to my Flickr photographs here and other sites where my work appears.

I hope you enjoy my photographs. Please check back often.

Hypselodoris Bullocki

This is one of my favorite underwater creatures: the Nudibranch. They are called sea slugs, but that name doesn't do them justtice. Their brillian color is actually a warning to other fish and sea critters to stay away. They are toxic. Nudibranchs are abundant in Indonesia. There is even a dive site named for them, Nudibranch Falls, where all different varieties and colors of Nudis reside.

Frog Fish

Frog fish is one of the many fish in Indonesia that still walk along the bottom of the ocean. They sit for long periods of time, expecially on large sponges, and wait for dinner to pass. Then their mouths open as wide as their bodies in less than a split second and they scarf down whatever poor fish passes by.

 Spotted Drum Fish

These young fish flitter around like crazy with their long tails trailing. They look like they're dancing and are beautiful. They are very hard to shoot though, because they move so fast. The funny thing is, as beautiful as these fish are when they are young, they are really ugly whenthey grow up. Their body thickens and they lose their long trailing "tails."

Thank you for visiting and viewing my work. Don't hesitate to contact me. I love to talk shop.
